Julie Roy
Southern Maine
Julie Roy graduated from South Portland High School in 2008. Her senior year she completed the season with a 0.53 ERA. She was Forecaster 2008 Spring Player of the Year, awarded MVP Senior for class A, and three year All-state 1st team for pitcher & first base.
After her high school career, Roy took her considerable talents to Division-1 Niagara University. Roy threw two no-hitters, led her team in wins, complete games, strikeouts, and innings pitched and was named second team all-conference (MAAC) and also to the conference (MAAC) all-tournament team. Roy holds the record for NU’s single-season record for the most wins in a season.
Roy received her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern Maine.

The education piece is continuous and important to help players in the state of Maine become the best they can be. A genuine thank you to them for seeing me as I am and providing me the space to grow as a coach.”
What does Denny say about Julie?
“I recently told Julie that she absolutely lights up the room. Her smile is so genuine and warm, and kids respond to her immediately. Julie is so dedicated to students, and they pick up on it quickly. Then she gets to work, looking deep into the individual and helping bring out the best in her. We are so happy to have her working with us.”
