Erin’s passion for softball began as a young girl in Ohio, where she spent countless hours pitching to her dad and developing her skills on the field. Her dedication paved the way for a successful collegiate career at Madonna University, where she set multiple offensive and pitching records and earned numerous accolades as both a pitcher and a hitter, including pitcher of the year and player of the year in multiple seasons. She concluded her playing career with the Michigan Ice professional fastpitch team.
After stepping off the field as an athlete, Erin continued to share her love of the game by coaching at both the high school and college levels. She later returned to school to further her education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a Master of Science in Midwifery.
Throughout the years, Erin has provided pitching and hitting instruction to athletes across the country—including Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Hawaii, and now Fayetteville, North Carolina—as her family relocated in support of her husband’s career in the U.S. Army Special Forces.
Erin is passionate about guiding young pitchers who are striving to reach their full potential. She values helping athletes overcome challenges, develop resilience, and navigate the physical and mental demands of pitching. Her mission is to support players’ growth in every dimension—on the mound, on the field, and beyond the sport.
Her coaching philosophy emphasizes long-term athletic development and overall player success. Erin is committed to helping athletes thrive in softball while learning the powerful life lessons the sport has to offer.
Why I Chose Tincher Pitching
I was honored to learn from Denny Tincher and the Tincher team for many reasons. With a background in both athletics and science, it was refreshing to train under instructors who have deeply studied the biomechanics of pitching and who bring decades of practical experience teaching and playing at high levels.
I am continually impressed by the Tincher organization’s commitment to ongoing education. Every instructor actively learns from one another and from experts in the field, all with the shared goal of better serving our athletes.
I also value the diverse backgrounds represented across the Tincher instructor team, each offering unique perspectives that strengthen the overall approach. Most of all, the exceptionally high standard upheld by Tincher instructors stood out to me—something clearly reflected in the pitchers they develop.
Learning from Denny, Abby, Angela, and the rest of the team was an incredible experience. I am confident that this program represents the best pitching instruction in the country, and I am excited and proud to be a part of it.
Here is what Denny has to say about Erin. “Erin was almost skeptical at first. She had very tough questions and wanted to be sure that had answers to some pretty tough questions. I love that about her. She is detailed, curious, and always thinking on a deeper level. When we have someone come to us who played as a pro, they know what it takes to compete at the highest levels and they want to be sure that we are preparing kids for that. She is a great addition to the group.”
