Madison Garland is a former collegiate pitcher and current softball pitching coach who is passionate about developing athletes both on and off the field. She played varsity softball at Manchester Valley High School, where she helped lead the Mavericks to back-to-back state championships in 2014 and 2015. During her high school career, Madison earned All-Conference and All-County honors all four years, was named a 2x Carroll County Player of the Year by the Baltimore Sun, and earned Baltimore Sun All-Metro honors, including being named the Baltimore Sun’s 2015 All-Metro Softball Player of the Year. As a senior, she posted an 18-2 record with 210 strikeouts and a 0.75 ERA, throwing five no-hitters and allowing just one run throughout the 1A playoffs.
Madison continued her softball career as a pitcher at Hofstra University before injuries led her to step away from playing. In 2021, she founded Reap the Harvest, a pitching instruction business focused on developing well-rounded athletes. Madison is dedicated to helping players grow not only in their pitching skills, but also in confidence, resilience, and overall mental well-being.
Why did Madison choose to join Tincher Pitching?
“I chose Tincher Pitching because, after completing several certifications and trainings, it was the first program that truly aligned with both my experience as a pitcher and my coaching philosophy. From my first conversation with Denny, I connected with his approach to teaching and his ability to break down complex mechanics into simple, understandable concepts. His genuine care for athletes, honesty, and passion for developing pitchers stood out to me. I truly feel called to be part of Tincher Pitching and am incredibly grateful and excited to continue growing within this organization.”
What does Denny have to say about Madison?
“She absolutely, totally, wants to do the right thing for students. She constantly sends us videos to verify that she is on the right track with students, and she always is. She continually studies and asks questions, never satisfied, and we watched an incredible transformation in a short time. We are proud to have her in our corner.”
