Arin Oppermann is the owner of Level Up Fastpitch and a certified Tincher Pitching Instructor with over 20 years of coaching experience across youth, high school, and collegiate levels. She specializes in developing elite athletes and has a proven track record of helping pitchers advance to Division I and nationally ranked programs. Known for her holistic approach, Arin not only teaches efficient, healthy movement patterns but also helps athletes learn how to manage their own development—building the mindset, planning skills, and personal accountability needed to grow independently. She leads private and group lessons in Madison, WI, and also serves as a pitching coach for the Madison Night Mares, a high level summer collegiate softball team.
Here is why Arin chose to join Tincher Pitching:
“Like many pitchers, I was taught the traditional “old school” technique. I had an incredibly strong high school career and a decent college career, but I always felt like something was missing. When I began working with pitchers, I taught the same way I had learned, and although my pitchers improved, some of them eventually began to plateau, and I didn’t have answers for them. It felt like the same invisible barrier I experienced in college was now holding them back, too.
While searching for answers, I found Tincher Pitching. I was skeptical at first. It sounded too good to be true, but I reached out to Denny anyway. Two weeks later I found myself at my first Tincher Pitching camp, and within minutes, I knew I had found what I had been missing. The emphasis on efficiency, natural movement, and understanding how the female body works completely changed my perspective.
Since joining Tincher, I’ve been able to help pitchers in ways I never could before. I can analyze movement more clearly, fix mechanical issues at the source, develop pitchers who stay healthier, and guide athletes all the way to Division I and nationally ranked programs. More importantly, I now help pitchers knock down barriers instead of run into them. Tincher Pitching didn’t just elevate my coaching. It empowered me to help my students find answers and remove the barriers that might have otherwise held them back.”
This is what Denny has to say about Arin:
Within minutes of our first meeting, I knew she would be great. Arin began finishing my sentences, understanding concepts and making leaps to the next step in each progression. It was as if she had been searching for something like this for a very long time and she was excited to learn and grow. One day, when a kid was unable to make her lesson, Arin asked if she could take the spot so we could teach her with these concepts. She made the transition so effortlessly that, in a few short minutes was flying off the mound so aggressively that we all took notice. She sees it, understands it, can feel it, and she communicates it so well to her students. We love having her in our organization.
