Jeannine Ravellette was a three-sport athlete in high school competing in volleyball, basketball and softball in the south suburbs of Chicago.  She started varsity in softball all 4 years in high school, won ASA A nationals with her travel ball organization and earned a scholarship to play softball at the University of Northern Iowa.  During her tenure at UNI, Jeannine became a dual threat as a starting pitcher and designated player.  She helped her team to a Missouri Valley Conference Championship her senior year and received All Missouri Valley Conference accolades.  Her athletic and academic performance landed her on the GTE Academic All-American District team.  Jeannine represented her fellow student athletes serving as Secretary and President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Criminology.

Following her playing days, Jeannine went on to coach collegiately at Bradley University, Southeast Missouri State University and Ferris State University. While her focus shifted to raising her family, she continued to stay in the game by providing private lessons, teaching at camps and clinics and coaching her daughters’ travel ball teams.

Why did Jeannine choose Tincher pitching?

“As a former Division I pitcher and collegiate pitching coach, I was used to working with athletes who were developed and ready for the next level.  However, when I transitioned to working with younger athletes and began teaching my own daughter, I realized the approach had to change. I wanted the most current information and deeper understanding of the “why” and “how” behind the mechanics so I could develop pitchers correctly from day one.  A friend of mine shared what her daughter was learning in lessons with Tincher instructor, Doug Peterson.  Hearing the specific details and the philosophy behind their movements, I knew immediately, this was the missing piece for my daughters’ development and my own coaching toolkit. My family ended up relocating to Kentucky for my husband’s job and we found ourselves traveling over two hours for a Tincher Pitching Coach. It was the final push I needed to take the leap and become a Certified Tincher Instructor myself.  Throughout the journey I find myself constantly energized by the content and eager to implement them with my students.  Besides the awesome community, the best part about Tincher Pitching is that I get to develop pitchers to be efficient, fluid, powerful and prevent injury.”

Here is what Denny says about Jeannine.
“The minute I met her I knew that she was perfect for our organization.  We want people who will raise the level of our group and Jeannine is that type of person.  She is experienced at every level of the game, she has accomplished so much, she brings so much confidence and curiosity to the task, and that is a rare combination.  She is gonna be a great one.”
