Maggie Greene grew up in Franklin County, VA, where she fell in love with pitching at a young age and decided to play at the collegiate level. She stayed around the Roanoke/Salem area for her college career. Maggie finished a successful career at Roanoke College where she set a new conference and program single game strikeout record with 20 strikeouts, and broke the program’s single-season strikeout record with 205 in just 125.2 innings. She was ranked top 20 in the nation in strikeouts per seven innings and held batters to a .165 batting average against her.

Maggie says she is excited to return to Tincher pitching as one of our certified instructors after being a former student since she was 12 years old. She is motivated to teach the way she grew up learning to pitch and giving back to the softball community. Maggie says she is excited to learn and grow as an instructor alongside an amazing group of people.

So, why did she choose Tincher Pitching?

“I chose Tincher pitching because I feel in love with the philosophy taught me as a pitcher growing up, which is to learn to pitch the healthy way. I want to teach that same philosophy to my students so that they can not only reach their goals faster but so that they can feel confident out on the mound.”

What does Denny have to say about Maggie?

The first five minutes of our first lesson, I knew that little kid was going to be something special.  She was so competitive and driven to be the best.  I was lucky to have her as a student.  Today, we feel lucky to have her as a Certified Instructor.  She threw herself into the training with a passion that we rarely see.  She is going to be great!
